These terms cover your use of DualApex — the app, the website, and the service that turns your driving laps into ghosts you can chase in a racing simulator. By using DualApex, you agree to them.
The lap data you upload or record stays yours. By submitting it, you grant DualApex the permission needed to store it and provide the service — generating your ghosts, showing your times, and, where you've made your profile or laps public, displaying them on leaderboards and shareable cards. You confirm that the lap data you submit is genuinely yours to share.
Laps you upload are public by default: they appear on the leaderboards and on a driver page that search engines can index, and they become ghosts other people can drive. Only upload laps you are willing to publish. You can turn the public setting off in your account, which removes you from the leaderboards, the driver list and the driver pages — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that does and does not cover.
If you upload a profile picture, it must be yours to use and must not be obscene, hateful or intended to impersonate someone. I can remove an image or a lap that breaks this, and will do so without much ceremony.
We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules or abuse the service.
DualApex is free while it is in beta, and uploading your real laps will always be free. Paid plans may come later for deeper features. If that happens: the terms will be clear before anyone is charged, everyone who joined during the beta will be grandfathered, nothing you have already uploaded will be removed, and existing free functionality will not be silently taken away.
We work to keep DualApex running well, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. It's an evolving product — features may change, and we may add, modify, or retire parts of the service.
DualApex works alongside racing simulators such as Assetto Corsa and third-party services such as Steam. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those products. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
DualApex is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Lap generation, alignment, and timing are best-effort and depend on the quality of the data you provide and factors outside our control (GPS accuracy, track conditions, hardware). Don't rely on DualApex for anything safety-critical.
To the extent permitted by law, DualApex and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You can stop using DualApex and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached or where required to protect the service or other users.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you're entitled to where you live.
We may update these terms as DualApex develops. We'll update this page and its date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
